Send a resume, sell yourself

Most headhunters, after sending a resume to their client, freequently follow up and verbally "sell" the candidate. if the job seeker does not have the luxury of a good recruiter on his side, how does he ensure that the employer notices his resume?

One way is to treat the job search like a sales call.

Good sales people market their products --- here, the product is the job seeker. The customer is the employer. The customer buys the product to solve a problem; the employer hires to meet a need.
